I See You
Blue like the clouded sky on a stormy day,
Like tumultuous clouds swirling overhead a vast sea.
The sun glints and glimmers over endless waters, like magic.
An endless, swirling tide, pulling me in,
Dragging me down into its depths.
The sun dances on the surface of your eyes,
And the world falls out from beneath me.
A churning mass of green and blue, stormy grey, and vibrant cerulean.
All words have caught on my tongue as I watch shadows dance in your gaze.
As I watch the light reflect off the windows into the very depths of your being.
And I see you.
The swirling vortex of emotion lingering behind a bright and joyous gaze,
The frantic pulling of fingers through hair.
I see you.
Your gaze strikes through me like that of a blade.
Cutting me down to my very core,
Until I am sucked deeper into you.
You are the light glinting off dancing waters,
The starry night sky reflected off a calm tide.
A glimpse into Heaven’s most enchanting garden.
The harmonious melody of Angels’ song.
You are life itself.
Your eyes a cave of wonders,
Your lips a forbidden fruit.
You taste of Ambrosia, and smell of ecstasy.
I see you.
For all that you are,
For all you have been,
And for all you will be.
I see you.
